Advent Prague is worth a visit

Mead, mulled wine, Prague ham or roasted chestnuts. Prague's Christmas markets will once again be worth a visit. And there is certainly no shortage of them in Prague. Where will the Advent markets be held this year? What are the opening hours? What can you look forward to?

Christmas markets will traditionally be held in several places. The most famous ones are on Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and Peace Square (Náměstí Míru). However, smaller locations are also worth a look.

Old Town Square - the largest and most famous Christmas market in Prague will be open here from 2 December 2023 to 6 January 2024. Do not miss these markets.

Wenceslas Square - Advent markets on Wenceslas Square are held on the same dates as on Old Town Square. As the two places are only a short distance from each other, it's a great opportunity to take a pleasant stroll through lit up Prague. There is a beautiful Christmas tree and stalls with Christmas goods and refreshments. The Christmas programme runs from 10am to 7pm and includes demonstrations of traditional crafts.

Peace Square (náměstí Míru) - The Christmas market here guarantees a beautiful festive atmosphere and can be visited from 20.11.2023 to 24.12.2023. It will be the first to open in Prague, and has been a tradition since 1998.

Jiřího z Poděbrad Square - From 29.11. 2023 to 23.12. 2023

A small Christmas market right in front of the Church of the Sacred Heart of the Lord, where you can buy gifts for your loved ones, as well as classic Christmas delicacies and drinks.
